Wonderful Things and The Whitaker are joining forces at the end of the Summer holidays to offer two afternoons of sixties singing and art. The afternoons, which will be on 30th and 31st August, are aimed at primary aged children in Rossendale who will have the chance to create a wonderful spectacle to launch the Rossendale 60’s Festival on Friday 9th September 2016

Each afternoon starts at 1pm with an hour of singing, fun and games. The second hour will be spent making sixties creations. The third hour will be a choir workshop with Sean Ruane. Sean will deliver a workshop designed to engage all the young people attending, and create a collection of iconic Sixties songs to sing to the public at the Rossendale 60’s Festival launch on the evening of 9th September. Last year’s choir was one of the highlights of the first night of the festival and the audience thoroughly enjoyed listening to the songs and seeing the art work created at the Whitaker throughout the summer holidays.
There will be a fantastic selection of Sixties related activities aimed at children and families at The Whitaker this summer holidays. Keep an eye on their website http://www.thewhitaker.org or call 0170 218858 for more information.

Wonderful Things will also be providing their usual holiday activities based at St Mary’s CE Primary in Rawtenstall. This year’s offerings include Lego days, Movie making, Crazy sports and much, much more. Book fast though, places are limited!

Reserve your places on Wonderful Whitaker Things by booking via our bookings page and paying £2 per child per afternoon.
