The context of a scientific investigation brings science to life and stimulates interest at a young age. We have booked a fabulous Forensic Science Workshop into our Wonderful Things weeks this summer! The workshop allows children to practice science skills such as observing, exploring and asking questions.
A crime has been committed and it is the responsibility of the children to work together to piece together the
evidence.
Once inside the crime scene young investigators must tape off the area in order to protect any evidence that may be found. Clues and evidence must be identified, collected, interpreted and analysed.
This includes finding, developing and characterising fingerprints, investigating tool marks and other impressions, identifying hairs and fibres and investigating blood, bones and DNA.
This fabulous workshop will be with us on Friday 22nd August!
